30 Week Pregnancy Update

I might be a TAD late jumping on the pregnancy update train, but I figured it's better late than never. Here is my 30 Week

How far along? 30 WEEKS! WOW!

Total weight gain/measurements: I’m allergic to my bathroom scales ... so I will use the numbers from my Dr's office at my last check-up (2 wks ago)...the grand total so far is 20lbs! Ouch!

Maternity clothes: I fought the battle long & hard with this one. I had made it until the 29wk mark with TWO pairs of maternity pants and a belly band. Then I caved and went on a Maternity clothes spree...still only made it home with ONE pair of pants. Someone in the maternity clothes world needs a good slap! Maternity clothes are horrible!! I did get some non maternity bump friendly clothes in the Old Navy massive sale this weekend which will stretch me through until the end of my pregnancy - thankfully!

Stretch marks? As of this week, Yes. Only on my hips and they're not too bad...yet.

Sleep: Not too bad. I find myself getting very tired towards the end of the day. I usually fall asleep between 7:30-9pm only to wake up around 1am and have to use the bathroom on the hour every hour. It's so weird. Also, the baby is SO active at night, especially when I hop back into bed after using the bathroom. It must be training me for the sleepless nights that are right around the corner.

Best moment this week: Receiving the baby's bedding in the mail! The Nursery is REALLY coming together now. And all of the movement from our little one. That will NEVER get old.

Miss anything? Being able to bend down normally.

Movement: Oh yes, we have an active little one that’s a given!

 Food cravings: Apples and Tangerines!!

Anything making you queasy or sick? No, been feeling great thankfully.

Gender: Still a mystery (by choice). My husband and Family are CONVINCED it's a girl...I'm still on the fence and will be until i see little girl or boy parts in the delivery room (here's the last U/S pic - which everyone says looks just like me...I still see daddy)

Labour signs: No, but i have been getting a pretty noticeable pain down low, apparently it's normal as the head starts to get in place for delivery. Both my Mum and sister had it. I will run it by my Dr. on my next visit.

Symptoms: A few Braxton Hicks contractions, leg cramps and having to pee every 2 minutes. Also feeling quite a bit of pressure on my bladder which I’m assuming is the baby and probably the reason I’m in the bathroom every 2 minutes .

Belly button in or out? It's almost a non-existent BB at this point. I think it will be an outie in the next few weeks, but it's sort of just flat right now. So strange

Wedding rings on or off? Still on.

Happy or moody most of the time? VERY happy! This pregnancy has changed my life. I've never felt more happy and content in my life. I'm sure that feeling will be magnified when the baby arrives.

Looking forward to: My upcoming baby shower and of course the arrival of our miracle baby!!

Weekend OOTD

Hello Everyone!

With the new year knocking on our door ...I'm going to try jumping back into blogging regularly . At least a couple of times a week. With that being said, here's a quick OOTD from this weekend:

Saturday

I decided enough is enough, caved and went on the hunt for some maternity clothes (I've held out mostly until now, but I fear I might start to ruin and stretch out my normal clothes).
I found some cute tops and tunics at H&M, and some undies at Motherhood (for all you prego readers, if you haven't discovered maternity undies...RUN don't walk to your nearest old navy or Motherhood...I promise they will change your life!)
Here is what I wore on our little shopping excursion:
Details:
Top - Gino's Boutique (local here in Franklin, TN)
Necklace - Muse Boutique (another local here in Franklin, TN)
Pants - From Ross' maternity section
Purse - Coach (One of my Christmas gifts from my lovely Mum & Dad)
Shoes - Tom's

Sunday

Today is my Dad's Birthday, he is in the middle of ripping out and restoring their Master Bath, so to allow him all day to do that we decided breakfast would be a better option than dinner. After breakfast I did our weekly grocery shop (I loathe grocery shopping ... Anyone else?)
This is what I wore to Breakfast / grocery store this morning:
Details:
Headband - Target
Top - H&M Marernity
Jeans - Target (non maternity...they are wide open being held up with a bellyband! Haha)
Shoes -  Gap

The weather isn't too cold here today so I threw on this blazer instead of a coat:

The rest of my day consists of walking my pup then planting my bum on the couch for the rest of the afternoon. I'm savoring these final 10 weekends (give or take) and making some me time...which today includes a nice nap :)

Hope you all have a fabulous week ahead xoxoxo

TGIF! OOTD Day 4 & 5

Gooooooood Morning,

TGIF!!!!!

Don’t you just LOVE that Friday feeling? I know I do, especially after what has felt like the longest week on the planet. I think the fact that I have not seen my sweet husband all week adds to the ‘longness’ of the week. He works as an RN in the ER and his schedule is 3P-3A three times a week, however with the ER being insanely busy, he picks up an extra day a week. So he gets home @ around 4am, as I’m getting up at 5am he is usually crawling into bed. When I get home at 5:30pm he is already a couple of hours into his 12hr shift. However, there is one big bright side to this schedule, he never has to work on the weekends. That means Saturday & Sunday are that much more precious because it’s our only real time together J Needless to say, 4am tomorrow cannot get here fast enough.

Ok, back to business. I didn’t post yesterday’s outfit which means you get a 2 for one today.

Purple Pants

Good Morning,

Happy 1st day of Spring! It is currently 34 degrees in Music City…not so Spring like temperature wise, however the sun is shining the skies are blue and the birds are chirping. We are well on our way to warmer weather.

Today’s outfit is one of my go-to’s when I want something comfy. These purple ankle pants are as comfy as yoga pants, and for that reason I have them in 3 colors. The shirt is also comfy and I have it in 2 colors … so you may see an outfit similar to this one again soon with a little change-up in the color scheme.

OOTD Day 3 (Instagram)
Shirt:                     Banana Republic $35 (on sale + coupon)
Pants:                   Target $9 (I was eyeing these when they were 30% off & there were a bunch left in my size, so I waited until they were 50% off and again, a bunch left. So I took a chance, waited and BAM 70% off! I was one happy shopper that day!)
Belt:                      Forever 21 $7
Shoes:                   UrbanOG (old)  $20
Necklace:              Ily Couture $20
Watch:                 Target $11
Bracelets:             Charlotte Russe $8 (Came in a larger pack)
